Café Savarin is a quiet, tucked away spot known only to insiders. Far removed from all trends, it's as if the alternative Berlin of the 1970s came to a standstill here: stucco ceiling, a Biedermeier sofa, café tables made of marble and iron and oil-paintings on the walls. The delicious breakfast, excellent coffee and home-made cakes, pies and pastes are lovingly prepared sold at reasonable prices. Hard to believe.
