also the largest privately owned hotel complex in Switzerland.
Set in a 4.8- hectare (12- acre) private park, it consists of
three separate buildings: the Grand Hotel (opened in 1873), the
Palace Hotel (opened in 1904), and the Park Hotel (opened in
1888 but demolished and rebuilt in a plush, modern style in 1991).
The public rooms of each of the three hotels abound in art treasures,
including works by Rubens, van Dyck, Tintoretto, and Brueghel.
The furniture is worthy of a modern- day Versailles,(...) ."
