netlounge Berlin | scenes & zones: Berlin-Charlottenburg | cafés

Schwarzes Café is a Berlin icon that epitomizes the alternative and subversive German scene in 1968. The times they are a changing and, as a result, Schwarzes Café is no longer "schwarz" (black). Breakfast is served round-the-clock and, for this part of town, at a reasonable price. There is a small garden in the back and a quaint little balcony facing the street. All this just a few minutes away from the Zoo train station.
